Why visit
A Stone Age dwelling site on the south-western shore of Rikkilänniemi, on the northern side of Lake Hanhijärvi. The slope of fine sand is under cultivation, and has yielded comb ceramics and quartz flakes; the tilling has partly destroyed the site.
Look for: The gentle slope falls away to the south-west and ends in a steep shore bank two to three metres high. The spot lies about 200 metres north-west of the southern tip of the headland.
About this site
Asuinpaikka sijaitsee Hanhijärven pohjoisrannalla olevan Rikkilänniemen lounaisrannalla, noin 200 m niemen eteläkärjestä luoteeseen. Maasto on loivasti lounaaseen laskevaa hietarinnettä, joka on peltona. Loivan rinteen alla on jyrkkä (2-3 m) rantatörmä. Löydöt kampakeramiikkaa (ehkä myös jotain myöhempää keramiikkaa) ja kvartsi-iskoksia. Maanmuokkauksen osin tuhoama kohde.
