Why visit
From the rocky hill on the south-eastern edge of Kirkkovuori a small spur juts out, and at its tip lie two ancient stone cairns — a modest but genuine trace of Laitila's early past.
Look for: Of the two cairns the larger, about 8.8 × 8.5 metres, was already noted as dug into in the 1955 survey; of the smaller only the base remains.
About this site
Kohde sijaitsee Laitilan kylään kuuluvalla palstalla Kirkkovuoren kaakkoisreunassa, Turuntien ja Kiilintien risteyksestä 1,1 km koilliseen. Maasto on laajan kalliomäen kaakkoisreunassa erottuvaa niemekettä. Paikalla on todettu 1955 inventoinnissa kaksi röykkiötä, joista toista (8,8 x 8,5 x 0,9 m) on kaiveltu ja toisesta (5,1 x 4,6 x 0,4 m) on vain pohja jäljellä.
