Vaskiluodon asema-alue

The station building at Vaskiluoto harbour marshalling yard is exceptional in that the office and the goods warehouse are housed in the same building. The station master's residential building and its outbuilding also represent a rare type. The distinctiveness of the site is further enhanced by the former customs chief's residential building located at the western edge of the same area, which is here regarded as part of the station area.

The buildings are protected under the Building Conservation Act in two separate decisions, with the exception of the customs chief's residential building and its outbuilding. The station area's surroundings have changed over time, but old station park has been preserved around the station master's residential building. Vaskiluoto railway station area is a nationally significant built cultural environment (RKY site).
