Why visit
The austere wooden church on the island of Bergö is a long church crowned at its west end by a tent-roofed tower. On its churchyard, edged by a stone wall, it stands quietly amid the archipelago.
Look for: See how lower additions, a porch, and a sacristy were later joined to the nave, and how the roof is hipped at the east end by the chancel gable.
