On the campus of Oulu University's former architecture department, two old merchant-manor buildings stand along Rantakatu — a place where the histories of a merchant manor and a school have become intertwined.

Look for: Notice how the ensemble is laid out: the two merchant-manor buildings on Rantakatu with their outbuilding, and the residential building on Hallituskatu, together forming the area's northern part.
