Why visit

On the Lehmo esker, in the yard of the Apula (Sorsala) house, stood a Stone Age dwelling site. The sand mound there was levelled and spread across the yard, and building and yard-levelling work has destroyed most of it.

Look for: Around it lies farmland that looks boggy. South of the yard a low pine heath begins, rising eastward and ending in a small esker hillock about 200 metres away.

About this site

Asuinpaikka sijaitsee Lehmon harjulla olevan Apulan (Sorsalan) talon pihamaalla. Asuinpaikka-alue on hiekkaharjua, jossa aikanaan on ollut hiekkakumpu, joka on tasoitettu ja levitetty pihamaa-alueelle. Ympärillä on soiselta vaikuttavaa viljelysmaata. Pihan eteläpuolinen maasto on matalahkoa mäntykangasta, joka itään päin mentäessä kohoaa päätyen noin 200 m:n päässä pieneksi harjukukkulaksi. Kohde on suurelta osalta tuhoutunut rakennus- ja pihantasoitustöissä. Inventoinnissa 2012 kohteen rajausta ei tehty.
