The Lempäälä railway station is located in the central urban area of the municipality of Lempäälä. It is located along the Riihimäki–Tampere railway, and its neighboring stations are Tampere in the north and Viiala in the south.

Lempäälä station is the only surviving fourth-class station building between Hämeenlinna and Tampere, and one of the few left from the 1870s. It now stands alone amid a renewed village, the last keeper of the line's traditional wooden architecture.
Look for: Look at the early railway architecture from Knut Nylander's era: as C.A. Edelfelt's successor he simplified the room arrangements and the decorative motifs of the façades — seek that pared-back hand in the building's exterior.
Lempäälän asema edustaa varhaista rautatiearkkitehtuuria Knut Nylanderin kaudelta. C.A.
