Why visit
On the west shore of Lake Palokkajärvi, between highway 4 and the water, a field lies at the base of Kaijalanniemi headland. It has yielded Stone Age finds, among them the 1987 survey finds (KM 23770:1-2) from the south-west side.
Look for: North of the road out to the headland lies the field the finder recalls the gouge (KM 22126) came from. A perforated stone found here has since been lost.
About this site
