Why visit
On a sandy heath on the west bank of the Pielisjoki lies a Stone Age dwelling site with a main road running straight through it. The road today is wider and paved, and roadworks have likely destroyed more of the site.
Look for: The finds were picked from the road verges long ago. North of the road, toward the bank of the Pielisjoki, the site may continue.

Asuinpaikka sijaitsee Pielisjoen länsirannalla, hiekkakankaalla. Maantie kulkee asuinpaikan halki ja sen pientareilta löydöt on aikoinaan poimittu. Nykyisin paikalla on leveämpi, päällystetty tie, ja asuinpaikka lienee tuhoutunut lisää tietöiden takia. Asuinpaikka saattaa jatkua tien pohjoispuolelle, Pielisjoen rantaa kohden.
