Why visit
On the east edge of a more level spot in a steep, stony and rocky slope lies a pit quarried into the bedrock, about 5 by 6 metres and a couple of metres deep. It may be a quarry or the remains of a large stone cellar.
Look for: Split blocks lie along the edges of the pit, looking as though they were set up as a wall. Some twenty metres west is a stone wall, the site Urtinpohja B.
About this site
Kivikkoisella ja kallioisella jyrkällä rinteellä olevan hieman tasaisemman kohdan itälaidalla on kallioon louhittu n. 5 x 6 m:n kokoinen pari metriä syvä kuoppa. Kuopan laidoilla on lohkokiviä, jotka vaikuttavat ikään kuin seinämäksi asetelluilta. Mahdollisesti kyseessä on kivilouhos tai mahdollisesti ison kivikellarin jäänne. Parikymmentä metriä tästä länteen on kiviaita (kohde: Urtinpohja B)
