Tuuloksen kirkko

Stone church, medieval. Tuulos late medieval stone church, dedicated to the Holy Birgitta and located in Sairiala village at the northwestern end of Suolijärvi, is surrounded by a preserved open cultivated landscape. The oldest part of the church is the sacristy, which is covered by an eight-part cross vault.

The nave and the adjoining weapon house were built in the late Middle Ages. Both exterior gables are decorated with brick masonry. The church hall is covered by a plank barrel vault. The armorial stone bearing Knut Posse's coat of arms in the church sacristy is a reminder of the time when the most powerful castle governor of Hämeenlinna Castle was lord of Sairiala 1477–1485.

Beside the church rises a three-section baroque bell tower with an onion-shaped finial from 1780 (Martti Jaakonpoika). The churchyard is surrounded by a grey stone wall, beside which there is a log-built passageway structure from 1841. Next to the tower are two burial houses, one built of brick and one of log.
