Why visit
Beside the road running from Mikkeli towards Ihastjärvi, north of the bridge, lies a Stone Age dwelling site. It has been partly excavated, and the potsherds found there are comb ware.
Look for: The site is reckoned to be about 50 by 100 metres. Among the finds are a flint arrowhead, flakes and objects of stone, quartz and flint, and burnt bone.
