Why visit
South of Jokirannantie, trenches run in several stretches totalling roughly 440 metres. The complex takes in battle trenches, communication trenches and dugouts, and the 2012 survey found the works, cut into sandy ground, in relatively good condition.
Look for: The trenches start beneath the power line crossing the road and run east along a rise at the roadside. About 250 metres further east lies a second stretch with trenches, a communication trench and a badly damaged dugout.

Vanhalta Nurmeksentieltä kohti Pielisjokea kulkevan Jokirannantien eteläpuolella on useassa kohdassa taistelukaivantoja, yhteensä noin 440 metriä. Kaivannot alkavat tien yli kulkevan voimajohtolinjan alta ja kulkevat tien reunassa olevan kohouman päällä itään. Alue koostuu taisteluhaudoista, yhdyshaudoista ja korsuista.
Tästä noin 250 metriä itään on tien vieressä toinen alue, jossa on kaivantoja, yhdyshautaa ja melko tuhoutunut korsu. Inventoinnin 2012 perusteella varustukset on kaivettu hiekkamaahan ja ne ovat suhteellisen hyväkuntoisia.
