Why visit

Nine hundred metres east-southeast of Tynkkylänjoki manor, between the Haaraoja road and the field, sits a cup-marked stone 1.5 by 1.5 metres with two cups cut into its upper surface.

Look for: One cup is round, 6 cm across; the other oval, 13 by 8 cm. Across the road to the north stands a large erratic boulder with no cups.

About this site

Kuppikivi sijaitsee Tynkkylänjoella, Savonlinnasta Enonkoskelle vievältä tieltä nro 471 noin 400 m itään ja Tynkkylänjoen kartanosta 900 m itäkaakkoon, aivan Haaraojalle vievän tien eteläpuolella, tien ja pellon välissä. Kivi on kooltaan 1,5 x 1,5 m. Kiven päälle on hakattu yksi pyöreä (halkaisija 6 cm, syvvys 1 cm) ja yksi soikea kuppi (13 x 8 cm, syvyys 1,5 cm). Kuppikiven kohdalla, tien pohjoispuolella on suuri siirtolohkare, jossa ei ole kuppeja.
