Why visit
Unikkolinna lies in the middle of a wide forest area, and archaeologists have disagreed over whether the place really is a hillfort. Geologists, for their part, hold that the ramparts were made by human hands.
Look for: The hill is 100 metres long and 50 wide. Its north-western part holds a rampart remnant about 20 metres long and 0.5 to 0.7 metres high, with a second one, 21 metres long, at the south-eastern end.
About this site
Linnamäki sijaitsee laajan metsäalueen keskellä. Mäki on 100 m pitkä ja 50 m leveä. Mäen luoteisosassa on noin 20 m pitkä, 1 - 1,5 m leveä ja 0,5 - 0,7 m korkea vallin jäännös, lisäksi mäen kaakkoispäässä on toinen, 21 m pitkä vallin jäännös. Siitä, onko Unikkolinna todella muinaislinna vai ei, ovat arkeologit esittäneet eriäviä käsityksiä, mutta geologien mukaan vallit ovat ihmisen tekemiä.
