Why visit
On a field-ringed ridge southeast of Sarvlaxträsket, right beside the road, lies the foundation of a house some 8 by 6 metres. On the site of a croft marked in the King's Atlas, a house still stood in the early 1900s.
Look for: Some rotted wall logs remain on the roughly half-metre stone footing, and inside the building is a mound, possibly an oven. All of it is buried in scrub and brush.
About this site
Sarvlaxträsketin kaakkoispuolella, peltojen ympäröimällä harjanteella, aivan tien vieressä on noin 8 m x 6 m laaja talonpohja. Kuninkaan kartastoon merkityn torpan paikalla on ollut talo vielä 1900-luvun alussa. Noin puoli metriä korkean kivijalan päällä on jäljellä jonkin verran lahonneita seinähirsiä, ja rakennuksen sisällä on kumpare (uuni?). Rakennuksen jäännökset ovat täysin pensaikon, vesakon ja aluskasvillisuuden peitossa.
