Why visit
In undulating terrain lie traces of slash-and-burn farming: 15 clearance cairns and four turnip pits, gathered above all on the highest points of the ground and the upper slopes.
Look for: The cairns are small, roughly a metre by half a metre, with only a few smaller stones set on the earthfast boulder. The pits measure 1 by 2 metres and are about 40 cm deep.
About this site
Kumpuilevassa maastossa sijaitsee kaskiviljelyyn liittyviä kaskiraunioita (15 kpl) ja nauriskuoppia (4 kpl). Ne keskittyvät erityisesti maaston korkeimmille kohdille ja ylärinteisiin. Rauniot ovat keskimäärin pieniä, noin 1 m x 50 cm kokoisia. Silmäkiven päälle on asetettu vain muutamia pienempiä kiviä. Kuopat ovat kooltaan 1 x 2 metrin kokoisia ja noin 40 cm syvyisiä.
