Why visit
At the south-western end of Pirkköyri island a broad battery work runs in a half-circle. It held more than ten guns firing south-west, south and south-east, and covered in practice the island's south-western rocky headland.
Look for: The half-circle work held firing banks and breastworks. Behind the battery stood a furnace for heating cannonballs, and further north, on the bay shore, an ammunition cellar and a small wooden barracks.

Pirkköyrin patteri sijaitsee Pirkköyrin saaren lounaispäässä. Laaja patterivarustus muodostaa puoliympyrän, jossa oli ampumapenkereet ja rintasuojat. Patteri kattoi käytännössä saaren lounaisen kallioniemekkeen. Siinä oli toistakymmentä lounaaseen, etelään ja kaakkoon ampuvaa tykkiä. Patterin takana oli tykinkuulien kuumennsuuuni ja pohjoisempana saareen työntyvän lahden rannalla ammuskellari sekä pieni puukasarmi. Kohde on rajattu paikkatietokantaan laserkeilausaineiston perusteella 03/2017.
