Why visit

Off the swimming beach at Peräniemi, between Peräniemi and the island of Rönö, lie the rib-like remains of a wooden vessel, far larger than a rowing boat and apparently a sailing ship.

Look for: At the 2014 inspection the wreck lay at a depth of about one and a half metres in the muddy bottom. It has places for possibly three masts, and the bow has broken apart.

Lähellä Kuopion keskustaa, sen eteläpuolella, Peräniemen ja Rönö -saaren välillä, Peräniemen uimarannan edustalla. Puisen hylyn ruotomainen jäänne. Kyseessä on soutuvenettä huomattavasti isomman aluksen jäänne. Vuoden 2014 tarkastuksessa hylky oli noin puolentoista metrin syvyydessä mutapohjassa. Kyseessä on ilmeisesti purjealus, jossa on paikat mahdollisesti kolmelle mastolle. Keula on hajonnut ja 2014 rantaan ajautuneet irtokappaleet saattavat olla siitä peräisin.
