Why visit
In 1538 a royal letter turned Rauma's monastery into the parish vicarage. On the map of 1756 the vicarage stands northwest of the Church of the Holy Cross, on the north side of Kirkkokatu.
Look for: Look to the undeveloped ground west of the parish office building: charred building foundations came to light there in 2010 during groundworks for a car park.
About this site
Vuonna 1538 muutettiin kuninkaallisella kirjeellä Rauman luostari seurakunnan pappilaksi. Pappila on merkitty vuoden 1756 kartassa Pyhän Ristin kirkon luoteispuolelle, Kirkkokadun pohjoispuolelle. Vuonna 2010 löytyi pysäköintialueen pohjustustöissä hiiltyneitä rakennuksenpohjia ko. paikalta seurakunnan virastotalon länsipuoliselta rakentamattomalta alueelta.
