Liminka domestic science school belongs (Katri Laine, Board of Agriculture 1929–1942) to the most notable agricultural school designs by Jussi Paatela, who held the post of architect at the Board of Agriculture from 1918 to 1930. Others include the Järvenpää domestic science teacher institute with its associated domestic science school, smallholding, agricultural normal school and animal husbandry school, as well as Sääminge domestic science school, Uusikirkko agricultural school, Korsholma domestic science school and Jokioinen smallholder school.
