About this site

The former gymnasium building in Porvoo from the year 1759. The two-storey Baroque-classicist stone building was designed by Samuel Berner, who moved from Turku to Uusimaa. The building has a mansard roof and windows with 16–20 panes. The central section of the ground floor has rusticated treatment, as do the corner pilasters. The former gymnasium has been preserved in fairly original condition.
