About this site
The oldest parts of the three-storey rendered brick building date from 1851–52. It served as a workroom, i.e. land survey office, and dwelling for its builder, county land surveyor C.A. Rehnström. The family lived on the second floor. The next owner was merchant L.G. Ranin. The building was purchased for the karjatalousopisto in 1922. The building was raised by one storey according to designs by architect Kerttu Rytkönen.
